How much does furniture assembly cost in Calgary?
Flat rate per item, from $50. A bed frame is $90, a dresser $120, an IKEA PAX wardrobe $130 for up to two frames. The price shown is the price you pay — no GST is added. The full list is in the pricing table above, and your exact total is shown before you book. Anything not on the list — text a photo and you will get a firm price back.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every job is a flat price per item, agreed before I start. If something takes longer than expected, that is my problem rather than yours.
Do you assemble IKEA furniture?
Yes, including the awkward ones — PAX and AURDAL wardrobe systems, KNOXHULT kitchen units, MALM and HEMNES dressers, BILLY and KALLAX shelving, and every bed frame in the range.
What other brands do you build?
Wayfair, Amazon, Costco, Structube, JYSK, The Brick, Urban Barn, Article and anything else that arrives flat-packed with hardware and instructions.
How soon can you come?
Same day in most cases. Text a photo or a product link and you will get a time back, usually within the hour.
Do you bring tools, and what happens to the packaging?
I bring every tool the job needs. When the build is finished I break down the boxes, clear up the packaging and leave the room tidy, disposing of it in your building’s own bins.
Which parts of Calgary do you cover?
All of Calgary — every quadrant and the inner city, with no extra charge for walk-ups or stairs. Outside the city, call first.
What happens if a part is missing or damaged?
It happens more often than you would think. I will tell you exactly which part number is missing so you can claim it from the retailer, and finish everything else that can be built. Coming back once the part arrives is a flat $90.
Can you take furniture apart for a move?
Often, but give me a call first so we can go through what you have. Some pieces do not survive being taken apart and rebuilt, and it is better to know that before moving day.
What if something works loose afterwards?
Everything I build carries a six-month workmanship warranty. If a joint works loose or something I assembled is not right, I come back and fix it at no charge. That covers my work — it does not cover faulty parts from the manufacturer or damage from moving the piece afterwards.
How do I pay, and is there GST on top?
Cash or Interac e-Transfer when the job is done. The price you are quoted is the price you pay — no GST is added and there is no call-out fee or minimum.
